A Win-Win For HIV and Primary Health Care
This photo series offers a glimpse into the life and work of Ibrahima Karaboué, a dedicated community health worker in Bingerville, Côte d'Ivoire. Through these images, we see a compelling story of commitment, empathy, and change.
Ibrahima is a community health worker in Bingerville, Côte d'Ivoire. Every day, he tirelessly raises awareness in his community about diabetes, hypertension, and especially HIV. With great empathy, he creates a safe space where everyone can openly discuss their health and receive screenings.
Working with USAID's RISE project, Ibrahima goes beyond just providing information. He builds strong relationships with community members, encouraging them to take care of their health. He goes the extra mile for his patients, whether by visiting them at home to deliver medications or providing regular follow-ups to keep them on their treatment path. His work extends far beyond education; he fights against stigma and offers invaluable support to those living with HIV.
